The winners of the Conference Awards were announced at the Hurlingham Club on Friday 3 July. The ceremony organised by the Global Conference Network, welcomed event professionals and conference organisers to celebrate the successes of a wide range of events and team accomplishments.

The awards were presented by comedian Lee Nelson. Acknowledged for their achievements in the conference industry, both nationally and internationally, winners included: The Economist Group’s ‘The Global Crisis of Depression’ for Best New Launch, BrandFuel for Best Conference by an events agency and The Mermaid for Best Medium Conference Venue.

Claire Wormsley, director of the Global Conference Network, said: “The Conference Awards is now in its sixth year and we’re delighted to see it gain momentum. These awards have become the definitive recognition of the dedication and innovation that drives excellence in our sector, as well as offering the chance to catch up with associates and discuss the industry. Following the main ceremony, guests were invited to continue the celebrations at The Boathouse, Putney.
