Wellcome Collection Event Spaces has appointed Chris Arkadieff as its new head chef as part of the Restaurants Associates at Wellcome Trust. Chris joins the team from the Strand Dining Rooms and Gordon Ramsay Group restaurants in London and Hong Kong, where he also led the culinary team.

Chris will be responsible for providing a range of catering options from breakfast and lunch to canapés and drink receptions at the high number of events Wellcome attracts each year, the venue hosted 878 in 2015/2016.

As part of his new role Chris has re-designed Wellcome’s menus based on his vast experience with a strong focus on sustainability, provenance and the reduction of food waste. The new season food offering allows greater flexibility, providing high-quality seasonal, fresh and delicious food. Dishes include our thoughtfully designed fork buffets based around the most seasonal produce and offers great flexibility in working with clients to make bespoke menus such as a recently designed Swedish menu.

On his new appointment, Chris comments: “I am thrilled to be part of the Wellcome Trust; its ethical and environmental philosophy is something I share and am passionate about and that scores high on each dish I create. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience and unique touch to the variety of successful events Wellcome hosts.”
