Victoria Warehouse welcomes two new recruits following 65% increase in corporate events
Victoria Warehouse, a unique events space in the heart of Manchester, has made two new appointments to its events team, as it celebrates its most successful year to date with a 65% increase in corporate bookings compared to 2014.
Russ Dennison has joined as Music, Sport and Entertainment Sales Manager and will be responsible for developing existing relationships with clients including the World Pool Masters, The Whisky Sessions and Cup North, as well as building the profile of the venue by expanding the music offering and diversifying the type of events held at Victoria Warehouse.
Prior to joining Victoria Warehouse, Russ was Sales Manager at the National Ice Centre and Capital FM Arena in Nottingham with responsibility for advertising, sponsorship, corporate hospitality, conferences and events.
Amy Toal has also joined the venue as PR and Marketing Manager. Previously, Amy worked at Emirates Old Trafford where she led on the venue and events marketing – managing marketing campaigns for conferences, exhibitions, weddings and Christmas parties.
She says: “The variety of events that the venue has held in just a few years has been incredible with top brand names such as New Look and Siemens hosting events here. The venue is raw and industrial and presents a completely different and exciting venue to my previous events experience.”
Kayleigh Brindle, Director of Sales at Victoria Warehouse, adds: “We are delighted to welcome Russ and Amy to the team as we celebrate our most successful year for corporate event bookings. The 65% increase in corporate bookings has led to the events team growing from 1 to 6 members this year and we have plans to increase this further in 2016 as the expansion project at the venue continues.
“Russ and Amy each have important attributes that will help ensure that going forward we are considered the go-to venue for corporate events in Manchester. We look forward to their contributions in the year ahead, as we look to build on our considerable success so far.”
