Tate Modern launches bespoke cocktail menu at Level 6 Restaurant
Tate Modern has revealed its new cocktail menu at the capacious Level 6 Restaurant, which boasts one of the best views in London.
The bespoke cocktail menu has been specially designed by the Bar Manager at Level 6 Restaurant, Alex Stevenson, and incorporates unconventional ingredients not found in traditional cocktails. These ingredients, which will change to match seasonal availability, include green tea, lemon curd, sage and star anise, complement the top-shelf spirits to create refreshing, one of a kind cocktails.
To suit all palates, the menu focuses on different tastes and spirit trends by splitting the list into the following sections with example cocktails below:
Resplendent Bedlam – Old Raj, saffron infused Element 29, Grand Marnier, rhubarb and apple juice
A Rum Deal – Diplomatico Exclusiva, Bénédictine, lemon curd and orange
Agave (tequila & mezcal)
Blue Sky at Night – Liquorice infused Tapatio blanco, crème de cassis and lime juice
Night Flowering – Coates and Seeley Blanc de Blanc, jasmine and elderflower
Fruits, seeds and herbs (liqueurs)
Mythical Creation – Cocchi Storico, crème de figue, crème de fraise and star anise
Grape (Cognac,Armangac & Sherry)
Refined Not Rejected – Baron de Sigognac VSOP Armangac, lemon curd and sage
Grain (whiskey and whisky)
Incandescent Indulgence – Ancho chilli infused Compass Box GKS, crème de cacao and chocolate
Barbed Foilage – Lemon infused Element 29, elderflower, basil and dill
Some of the cocktails are created using Tate’s collaboration drinks, such as Tate Gin which has been crafted in partnership with Sacred microdistillery based in Highgate to produce limited runs where the recipe is reworked each time.
Open daily and until 21.30 on Friday and Saturday evenings, the Level 6 Restaurant is the ideal location to enjoy a sundowner, whilst perusing the capital’s stunning landscape.
