The O2 recruits new event sales coordinator ahead of busy festive season
The O2 has announced the appointment of Jo Peplow-Revell as its new event sales coordinator. Jo will be responsible for responding to all incoming sales enquiries for The O2 Arena, American Express Invites Lounge, Green Room and The Quadrant, with a particular focus on Building Six as it gears up for a busy Christmas party season.
Jo joins the world’s number one music and entertainment venue from events agency Crazy Cow Events, which specialises in corporate venue finding and event management. Jo’s highlights during her time at the agency included working on a 2,000 guest winter ball at the Natural History Museum and managing Christmas parties on Tower Bridge Walkways.
In addition to dealing with incoming sales enquires for the diverse range of event spaces at The O2 in her new role, Jo will also manage and develop existing accounts within the client base.
Jo will report directly to business development manager Becci Thomson, who says: “We are delighted to welcome Jo to The O2 events team as we continue to grow the conference and events business at the venue. Jo’s agency background means she has a great understanding of the industry, as well as possessing key skills in event management. It is fantastic to have her on board as we head into the last few months of the year and our busy Christmas party season.”
Jo adds: “I’m really looking forward to moving from an agency side to the venue side and I am particularly looking forward to getting stuck in with this year’s Christmas party offering at Building Six – Party in a Pear Tree – The 12 Days of Christmas. It’s exciting to be working on an event which has been designed to really push the limits of every guest’s imagination and offer something completely different to the traditional Christmas party package.
“I am also looking forward to working with the team to develop next year’s summer events and venue showcases. The O2 is such a versatile and fun space to work with and attracts such a diverse range of clients, so I am really looking forward to getting started!”
