National Railway Museum on target for most successful festive season
The National Railway Museum in York has revealed it is on track for a record-breaking Christmas period for corporate events, as it reveals the latest figures in a line of successful seasons.
The museum has confirmed over 3,500 covers for its popular Christmas party packages, ‘Night Train to Vegas’ and ‘Wonderland Express’ and has recorded an increase in exclusive bookings with 10 clients confirmed so far this year compared to 6 in 2014. Repeat clients include John Lewis York, Askham Bryan College and Ebuyer.com.
Running on selected dates in November and December 2015, ‘Night Train to Vegas’ offers party goers a luxury four-course dinner and a night of dazzling entertainment including an Elvis tribute singer and a Cirque du Soleil show.
‘Wonderland Express’ encompasses a sumptuous all-you-can-eat hot festive buffet and DJ entertainment for guests to dance the night away amongst the famous locomotives within Station Hall.
Michelle Rennoldson, Sales and Events Manager at the National Railway Museum, says: “Following our fantastic success in 2014, we wanted to carry this into the 2015 festive season, and so far the signs are we are heading into another record breaking year for Christmas parties at the National Railway Museum. There is a feeling in the industry that the Christmas party market will be even more successful this year across the board, as budgets have recovered, and we have thought carefully about how we can help companies reward their staff for their hard work throughout the year.
“In addition to our 2015 packages, we have responded to the trend for Christmas celebrations in the New Year and will be offering a 25% discount on evening hire plus a reception drink for clients looking to book a belated celebration in January and February 2016.”
Packages at the National Railway Museum are available for individual tickets or group bookings. Companies looking for a more bespoke Christmas party can hire the museum exclusively on available dates throughout December. Booking is also available for 2016.
