The National Railway Museum in York was recently awarded Best Tourism & Hospitality Business of the Year at the Press Business Awards, which celebrate business success in York and North Yorkshire.

The ceremony, which took place at York Racecourse, saw 16 awards presented, recognising a variety of achievements across all areas of business, from technology, family enterprise and tourism and hospitality.

Commenting on the award, Michelle Rennoldson, Sales and Events Manager at the National Railway Museum, said: “It is a great honour to receive this award, which further reinforces the National Railway Museum’s position as one of York’s most popular venues. This has been a very successful year for the museum and with the Flying Scotsman set to return to us in March next year we are looking forward to an even more eventful year in 2016.”
