The National Railway Museum in York has announced the return of its popular Christmas party packages, ‘Night Train to Vegas’ and ‘Wonderland Express’, following the venue’s most successful Christmas season for corporate events since 2009.

The two packages, which offer bookers a night of festive celebrations surrounded by the museum’s collection of historic carriages, saw last year’s covers increase by 93% and revenue by £32,000 compared with December 2013.

Running on selected dates in November and December 2015, ‘Night Train to Vegas’ offers party goers a luxury four-course dinner and a night of dazzling entertainment including an Elvis tribute singer and a Cirque du Soleil show.

‘Wonderland Express’ includes a sumptuous all-you-can-eat hot festive buffet and DJ entertainment for guests to dance the night away amongst the famous locomotives within Station Hall.

Sam Owen, Head of Commercial Operations – Experiences at Science Museum Group, which incorporates the National Railway Museum, says: “We are delighted with the National Railway Museum’s Christmas figures, which shows a promising return to pre-recession levels for corporate events at the venue. The museum’s Station Hall is a stunningly unique space for parties and receptions, whilst our themed packages are a perfect fit for the venue, so we look forward to welcoming more guests to celebrate their Christmas with us again this year.”

Packages are available for individual tickets or group bookings. Companies looking for a more bespoke Christmas party can hire the museum exclusively on available dates throughout December.
