The National Railway Museum in York will host its first wedding showcase on Sunday 15th January 2017.

During the day, guests will be able to meet local, hand-picked suppliers in bridal wear, photography, floristry and more, while discovering the beautiful event spaces on offer at the museum available to host wedding ceremonies, receptions and private parties. Guests will also be able to taste delicious food samples from in-house catering partner, Levy Restaurants UK.

The events team will be on hand to walk visitors through their potential wedding day at the museum, showing them the range of galleries and beautifully-restored Countess of York, a luxurious Pullman-style carriage which has been converted to host small weddings and events during the day and evening. Guests will also be able to hear about the new-inclusive wedding package for 2017.

The showcase runs from 11am – 3pm and will utilise both The Gallery and Station Hall. Suppliers on the day will include Fulford Flowers, Wedding Belles Beaus of York, No More Tiers, Adelia String Quartet, All Things Sweet & Candy and Ray of Light Letters.

Michelle Rennoldson, Sales and Events Manager at the National Railway Museum, says: “We are very much looking forward to welcoming guests to our wedding showcase in January next year. We have a fantastic range of suppliers on board who will be showcasing their offering, and it is a perfect opportunity for guests to discover the versatile range of spaces we have on offer for weddings and private parties, as well as our new-inclusive wedding package for 2017.”
