Moving Venue to cater Man Booker Prize
On Tuesday 14th October 2014 Moving Venue will cater the prestigious Man Booker Prize awards ceremony at London’s Guildhall for the second year.
Moving Venue has been appointed by events PR agency Four Colman Getty to provide a Champagne canapé reception and dinner for the evening, which will be attended by over 500 high-profile literary figures.
Moving Venue will serve a specially designed autumnal menu showcasing the best produce Britain has to offer. The dinner will begin with seared scallops, pumpkin, sage and pearl barley risotto, sautéed chestnuts and smoked pancetta sage foam; followed by herb crusted rack of Kent lamb, onion puree, confit shoulder ‘cromesqui’, spinach, fondant potato and tomato jus; and finished with port poached plums, plum puree and beurre noisette ice cream.
The Man Booker Prize is widely regarded as the most important literary award in the English-speaking world and this year is particularly special as for the first time in its 46 year history, it has been opened up to writers of any nationality, writing originally in English and published in the UK. The evening will also be attended by HRH the Duchess of Cornwall, who will present the 2014 Man Booker Prize to the deserving winner.
