Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is tracking ahead in terms of hospitality sales this year with an impressive 5,500 covers already sold for the 2015 season at Lord’s, which is currently 8% ahead of this time in 2013.
An unprecedented demand for the England v Australia Investec Ashes Test series has seen a new hospitality package launched to increase availability for the currently sold-out days one and two of the Lord’s Test which begins on 16th July.
The new offering will see guests enjoy seats in the Ground and hospitality at the neighbouring Danubius Hotel. Premium offering the Ashes Club has already sold out across the first two days.
For the England v New Zealand Investec Test match which begins on 21st May, limited availability remains across days one to three.
The positive outlook surrounding cricket at Lord’s is also underlined by the popularity of T20 cricket. Hospitality packages for Middlesex’s NatWest T20 Blast fixtures are selling better than ever before, with four Thursday night fixtures. Matches against Kent, Hampshire, Sussex and local rivals Surrey, are now available to purchase.
Nick Kenton, Head of Sales at Marylebone Cricket Club, said: “We’re encouraging people to make the best out of an iconic year at Lord’s Cricket Ground, and combine the fantastic setting with a first-class hospitality experience. This year is clearly going to be our busiest yet and it is a strong position to be in as we enter Lord’s Cricket Ground’s third century.”
