Lord’s Cricket Ground Opens the Museum for Christmas
Lord’s Cricket Ground has extended its Christmas party offering, meaning guests now have access to the oldest sporting museum in the world, which is also the home of the Ashes Urn, this winter.
The Ground is gifting guests with a free venue upgrade for a drinks reception, from the Thomas Lord Suite to the Museum. The offer supplements a variety of Christmas packages available at Lord’s, which include contemporary parties in the Thomas Lord Suite to a more refined dinner, lunch or reception in the Long Room, or even the more intimate Writing Room.
The hallowed Ground is celebrating its 200th birthday this year, and has marked the occasion with a Bicentenary match, a men’s and women’s Rest of the World match, and a Gala Ball and Banquet, set to happen later in the year.
Nick Kenton, Head of Sales at Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), commented: “This offer provides our guests with the perfect opportunity to enjoy even more of our prestigious surroundings, and we do still have some peak dates available. It’s also the last chance to entertain in our 200th anniversary year, so it adds even more to what is already a fantastic entertaining and dining experience at Lord’s. We recognise that confidence is returning to the Christmas party market and we are confident we can offer something truly memorable and unique.”
