Hire Space reaches 1.5 million visits
Technology proofs its worth
Specialist venue-booking website Hire Space has reached one and a half million unique visits since the company was founded in April 2013. The 2015 Christmas Venues offering link has received 30K page views and 1.000 users have signed up for Hire Space Plus.
In quarter two, Hire Space registered:
- 350% growth
- 350% increase in enquiry levels year on year
- and an upsurge of 14% in corporate meetings and events budgets
In addition to this, this year Hire Space has secured 1100 meetings and events at its broad range of virgin event spaces and unique venues in London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester including Westminster Abbey, Hampton Court Palace, British Museum, Gorton Monastery, Liver Building, Rainbow Venues.
The majority of the site users are PAs, M&E organisers and anyone involved in the procurement and organisation of meeting and events. The origin of the enquiries comes from the following sectors: 20% Financial, 20% Marketing/PR/Advertising, 15% Technology, 35% Private and 10% Other.
Ed Poland, Co-founder Hire Space said of the reach: “We are absolutely delighted to see so many people using our venue search engine for their M&E’s needs, when we first reached 500,000 visits we were extremely happy, but 1.5 million is a huge milestone, bringing us to the next level, demonstrating consistent and positive growth.”
“We’re increasingly seeing venue choice driven by demand for unusual spaces, particularly in the corporate sector. With the rise of hot-desking and co-working spaces, businesses are seeing a revolution in working environments. If they can’t mirror that with their own office environments, they often want the next best thing in creative spaces for company offsites. We’re seeing huge demand for unusual venues for conferences, workshops and away-days. We expect this trend to continue into the second half of 2015.”
Hire Space started as a way to drive revenue in schools and other public sector spaces, and is now used by leading businesses and the public to find unusual venues for events, product launches, conferencing and promotional activities.
