HeadBox, the UK’s first on-line market place that helps you to search, book and pay for creative venues online, expands into Bristol
HeadBox (www.headbox.com) has launched (19 September 2016) in Bristol.
HeadBox is the only venue booking website that allows you to search, book and pay for your venue online. Since its launch in London in October 2015 HeadBox has been working hard to open up underused spaces, revolutionise how we make the most of space and bring events booking into the 21st century. The website already boasts clients such as L’Oreal, Google, Sky, Diageo, the BBC and many more. Monica Sorano, Senior Planning Producer at the BBC commented recently about her HeadBox experience: “We were looking for a great film location with a fairly low budget in a central location. We found what looked like the perfect Space on HeadBox so we decided to view it. It was a fabulous venue for us to film in, amazing value for money and I’m sure we’ll be booking it again in the future!”
Following the platform’s success in London and its recent expansion to Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool the extension means corporates and SME bookers in Bristol will now be able to instantly book spaces for a range of event, off-site and meeting occasions, from launches, award ceremonies and private dinners to away days, ideation sessions, photography shoots and fashion shows.
The new Bristol Collection includes, amongst many others, Brunel’s Old Station – a vast Victorian venue for conferences and exhibitions; Milk Thistle – a chic and sophisticated cocktail bar; Amarelle HQ – a showroom of beautifully designed meeting spaces in an old warehouse; and various spaces within the elegant Hotel du Vin.
HeadBox CEO and Founder, Andrew Needham, says: “We’re excited to continue our expansion by now opening up underused spaces across Bristol. When you start to think about space differently, suddenly your imagination is opened up. Bristol’s buildings can have so many uses. If owners start to give them new applications, it could also change the whole price point for meeting, off-site and event spaces, making them much more accessible, more often. We are also making venue booking so much easier and simpler by putting all the information about the venue online, allowing guests and hosts to contact each other directly through the site, and setting up secure booking and payment on the website too”.
Jamie Atherton, General Manager of Hospitality & Events Quater, says: ‘We’re really excited that HeadBox have expanded to Bristol. Working with HeadBox and listing our event spaces in The Square Club, and No.4 Clifton Village on their website gives us an opportunity to get our venues in front of an even-wider audience and connect directly with potential guests. The online platform is going to be a great way of streamlining the booking process too. We’re looking forward to seeing how HeadBox can help us make the most of our Spaces!’’
Founded in October 2015, the platform has gained a place in the influential 2016 Startups 100 list as featured in The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and Forbes.
