Annual Forum set for record numbers
Demand for places at The HBAA Annual Forum is at an all-time high as the headline event draws its biggest ever pre-registrations.
Entitled ‘Fast Forward Thinking’, 2014′s event has been curated under the guidance of HBAA Chairman Chris Parnham and is set to address the changing face of business and market dynamics in a world increasingly driven by technology. In addition to keynote sessions, delegates will be streamed in line with their commercial responsibilities and be given salient content and discussion forums.
Taking place at The Hilton Birmingham Metropole, 4-5th September, the Annual Forum is a highlight in the association’s calendar and gives delegates the opportunity to learn from keynote speakers, address and debate market trends and widen their knowledge through tailored sessions.
Highlights of the Annual Forum include a candid interview with industry stalwart and self-professed hotel guru and chairman of the Hotel Marketing Group, Dev Anand. Another not to be missed session will be The Generation Game which will draw on the experiences of first and second generation agency and respected industry figures, as well as explore the motivators and decision making process that the different ages apply to business today.
Keynotes will be delivered by former Chief Executive of Dyson, Martin McCourt and Richard Watson, publisher of the ‘What’s Next’ report on global trends.
McCourt was an international brand leader, and head of one of the UK’s most brilliant design and engineering feats. Richard Watson advises organisations on planning strategically for the future, and both will provide expert advice and inspiration exclusively to HBAA Forum attendees.
The first day will see narrowcast content delivered to sector specific audiences comprising agencies, non-residential venues (made up of stadia, museum & heritage and training centres) and residential properties encompassing hotels and the burgeoning serviced apartment sector. Tailored talks include de-cluttering the mind, working with technologies for events and the latest update on the accommodation market – delivered by Emma Gray, Director of Marketing Services and Caralyn Overs, Business Development Manager (Birmingham Convention Bureau), renowned industry supplier Etherlive and Stephen Pauley, from Be First Class Limited – emphasising the association’s commitment to quality content.
Tim Dingle, from the London School of Excellent Training, will also be delivering an inspirational and unmissable talk on how to ‘Be Amazing Every Day’, addressing stand up comedy, the neuroscience of hospitality and conflict resolution – all extremely relevant to the Forum’s audience and that the HBAA wanted to be able to provide its delegates.
The second day of the Forum will begin with another series of streamed talks – with the audience divided into those who are customer facing or in a management role – firstly with a rousing session from specialist motivational speaker Andy Edwards on time management, followed by the lively and much anticipated presentations from Richard Watson to senior managers, and Martin McCourt.
All content has been designed to underline the association’s drive for professional and personal development, to enable delegates to embrace to emergent trends, and above all, to challenge and exemplify future thinking.
Over 300 senior agency owners, sales and marketing professionals and ancillary suppliers have already confirmed their attendance and limited places are still available.
