Fast Forward 15 mentees rise to the challenge – Public event set to raise funds for charity
The second year of Fay Sharpe’s Fast Forward 15 programme culminates on 27th March with a Charity Challenge called Monday Movie Night with Mary.
Hosted by Camm & Hooper’s Victorian Bath House, the event takes the form of a private screening, drawing its influence from powerful female role models. The fundraiser has been devised to enable networking amongst key event planners with confirmed organisations including Paraexll, Pernod Ricard, M&C Saatchi, Astra Zeneca, London & Partners and Linklaters.
The networking evening will be centred around an intimate screening of the iconic Mary Poppins. Included in the £25 ticket price there will be a cocktail hour with bespoke “Cherry Tree Lane” cocktails, Mary Poppin’ Corn Station and a super-luxe tombola.
The chosen charity for the event is Commonwealth Girls Education Fund (CGE Fund) whose ethos, “educate a girl, empower a woman”, mirrors Fast Forward 15’s aim to develop the next generation of the hospitality sector’s female leaders.

Fay Sharpe, founder of the Fast Forward 15 initiative and Vice President of BCD Meetings & Events comments, ‘The team of mentees has really risen to the challenge by coming up with an engaging and creative event that both uses their relationships in the industry and pays close attention to the financials. I’m really excited to see what the night has in store and would encourage all event professionals to get involved by joining us on 27th March’.
Imogen Rudkins-Stow from Informa comments: ‘This is a great opportunity to demonstrate how much we’ve developed over the last 10 months as part of the programme. We’ve worked hard as a team of 15 to organise an exciting pop up film to raise money for CGEF and hope those who can join have a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious night!’
Additional sponsors of the event include: Camm & Hooper, Bibendum, Metcalfe’s skinny popcorn, Royall Recruitment, The Grand Brighton.
