Center Parcs launches new Den Building activity for corporates
Center Parcs Conferences & Events has launched a new Den Building activity as part of its popular Motiv8 package for corporate clients.
Center Parcs continually develop new teambuilding packages to challenge delegates using their unique outdoor environment and the new activity focusses on re-introducing the idea of ‘play’ into adulthood.
Play might be something most think they have grown out of once they reach adulthood, but studies have shown that engaging in play has many benefits for adults. These include generating optimism, enhancing relationships and relieving stress due to the release of endorphins, the body’s natural feel-good chemicals. Den building is known for encouraging imagination and team work for children and this principle can be applied to adults too.
Starting with a range of Woodland Games to break the ice with teams and win ‘cheats’ for their den, the Den Master will then impart expert tips and tricks before the teams need to forage together for the materials to build a den. Teams must work together to find the strongest branches, the thickest thicket and the sturdiest plan. Once the den has been built, decorative touches can be added before the final test – making sure the whole team can fit inside before the Den Master tests the quality.
Ryan Gray, Head of Sales at Center Parcs, says: “We are constantly looking at new ways to evolve our teambuilding offer at Center Parcs and employee wellness is an area that is hugely important to us. Our new Den Building package offers delegates a chance to forget about work and commitments and be social in an unstructured, creative way, while taking full advantage of the associated health benefits of play in adulthood.”
Den Building is part of the Motiv8 package, which is available for £99 incl VAT at Sherwood, Elveden and Longleat Forest and £115 incl VAT at Woburn Forest.
