Banqueting House hosts third #RelaxUnderRubens event
Banqueting House, one of the six venues cared for by independent charity Historic Royal Palaces, this morning (30 June) welcomed 30 event industry professionals to the third annual yoga breakfast in the Main Hall.
The exclusive event offered agents, venue finders and clients the chance to relax under Sir Peter Paul Rubens’ magnificent canvas-painted ceiling for a 30-minute yoga session, followed by a networking breakfast courtesy of London leading caterers, Food by Dish.
Celebrating the space, which has recently reopened after a renovation, the yoga instructor designed a sequence to showcase Rubens’ artwork. The #RelaxUnderRubens session focused on a series of calming postures giving guests a peaceful moment to help alleviate any stress and rejuvenate, before networking with like-minded experts.
Food by Dish created a nutritious feast kicking off with shots of fresh smoothies on arrival. Guests were able to build their own breakfast bagels with a selection of smoked salmon, cream cheese, avocado and bacon or enjoy a healthy granola pot with fresh yogurt and raspberry puree. Fresh fruit skewers with a mango dip were also on offer with a selection of juices, teas and coffees.
Jennifer Lockham, head of Banqueting House, says: “This is the third time that we’ve run this event and we’re so pleased with the amount of guests we had this morning, looking for the best start to their days. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to showcase our fantastic and newly renovated facilities, but also to offer a fun and productive session for busy industry professionals.”
Guests were given a box of orange macaroons as a thank you, from Historic Royal Palaces and Food by Dish, to share with their colleagues.
