Strictly Come Dancing contestant and former England cricket captain, Michael Vaughan, returned to Lord’s – the Home of Cricket – earlier this month accompanied by his television dance partner Natalie Lowe.

Vaughan, who has scored over 30 points out of 40 in the last two episodes of the popular BBC show, secured his place in English sporting history in 2005 by becoming the first captain to win an Ashes series since Mike Gatting in 1986-87.

During his visit to the world famous cricket ground, and in a complete role reversal, Vaughan first gave Natalie a batting lesson in the MCC Cricket Academy, before the pair practised a few of their high-scoring dance moves in the iconic Long Room and alongside the “hallowed turf”.

Jon Robinson, MCC Assistant Secretary (Marketing & Catering), said: “We were delighted to welcome Michael back to Lord’s, where he enjoyed an extremely successful career as England captain, and we wish him all the best for the rest of the show.”
