Activation:

We created individual strategies for the hotel’s key departments, focussing on driving leisure, meetings and events, the spa and the hotel’s restaurant.
Working with our target media partners, including Harper’s Bazaar and The Sunday Times we promoted weekends away through reviews. By forming an important partnership with a trade media influencer, it ensured the hotel continued to be prominently placed for meetings and events decision makers.

The Grand Brighton reveals summer Spotify playlist

Luxury seafront hotel, The Grand Brighton, has announced that its favourite songs of the summer are now available for guests, friends of the hotel and colleagues alike to enjoy on Spotify.

The Grand Brighton Summer Playlist is a collection of the very best summer songs played throughout the hotel’s various outlets: The Victoria Terrace, Lounge and Bar, its own seafood restaurant GB1 and the Spa. The playlist is a combination of laid-back electronic beats, hazy soul and uplifting vocals that perfectly encapsulate the spirit of summer.Choosing to forgo the traditional hotel music offering in favour of a more contemporary feel, the playlist is the perfect balance of mainstream and alternative artists, packed with chilled out remixes and feel-good tunes, perfect for back-garden barbeques or summer soirees with friends. The eclectic playlist features music from The XX, Anderson Paak and Tom Oddell as well as lesser known artists Ekkah, Marcus Marr and La Felix.

The summer playlist is the second to be made public by the hotel, with plans for more to be released throughout the year. A Brighton Pride edition was recently released in collaboration with Gogglebox star Chris and his husband Tony in which they chose three of their favourite Pride anthems.

Andrew Mosley, General Manager at The Grand Brighton, says: “Music has a big impact on our lives and every one of us has a song that reminds them of a particular moment in time. Therefore, it’s incredibly important to us to put resource and energy into constantly evolving our music offering, creating a bespoke ambience across the hotel and helping to deliver lasting memories for our guests in the process.

“By creating playlists through Spotify, we are creating new opportunities for local artists and musicians to showcase their music to a new audience both at the hotel and further afield. We strongly encourage people to get in touch with song or artist suggestions.”
