The Hire Space awards celebrate the best of the events industry, by recognising and rewarding hard working, innovative and forward-thinking venues and event bookers from across the UK.

The evening will draw 250 events industry professionals on the evening of 24th October, the second day of EventLAB, the flagship event of Hire Space’s professional development programme for events professionals, taking place at the Barbican.

Sarah McQueen, Venues & Hospitality Manager at the Museum of London, said “We’re absolutely delighted to have been chosen to host the prestigious Hire Space Awards at the Museum of London. The awards recognise the very best of the events world and champions those individuals who make it such a vibrant and exciting sector to be part of. We look forward to welcoming friends and colleagues from across the industry to the museum for an evening of celebration.”

Head of EventLAB Felicity Cator said: “We’re really excited to be hosting the second Hire Space Awards at the Museum of London. It’s a fantastic, versatile space, spot on for our brand. We can’t wait to celebrate with the best of the events industry’s venues and event’s organisers.”

The Hire Space awards celebrate innovation and quality of service in the industry, with categories including Modern Venue Marketing, Forward Thinking Venues and Popular Venues. The night also features an “Unsung Hero” award for the professional with the biggest hidden impact on the events industry in 2018, and two separate awards for professional event booking teams in the Superstar Event Bookers category.

Submissions for venue awards close on 3rd August 2018, and for event booking teams on 20th August 2018. The winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges, and announced live on the night.

Last year’s winners included RIBA, Searcy’s at the Gherkin, Printworks, Banking Hall and the Good Hotel. The Events Team of the Year was won by Festival of Marketing, and the Unsung Hero by David Taylor of the Royal Museum of Greenwich.
